She's Crafty...

Girls love to paint their nails.  I have spent many Saturdays and Sundays trying to come up with a better way to get the job done.  Those of us with girls know that it is never as simple as one color or one coat.  My girls like designs, flowers, cute little pictures. So there I would sit with toothpicks and nail polish and paint away.  The girls would get tired of waiting and the paint could never dry fast enough causing it to smudge.

I decided to do a little research and I came across this really cool idea.  This was the end result...

How did I did that you ask? Well let me tell you.

First, you need to paint nails with a base coat of clear nail polish.  It helps if you either have something to help speed the drying process or a fast drying nail polish.

After it dries you can paint nails with craft Acrylic paint. I find that the flat brushes work best.

You can do everything from polka dots, to ladybugs, music notes, stripes, different colors on different nails.  Once you have desired number or coats and designs. Put one more top coat on and there you go fun and cute nails! As for doing your own nails, that is up to you to figure out. I am still working on trying to get my right hand painted.

Friends...are the sunshine of my life!

This weekend has been full of wonderful friends.  Friday we spent the evening with my friends The Kellers.  Great food and great drinks were had. 

The kids had their version of our fun with their dinner and soda (something not had often in our house).

Saturday morning started with a much needed hair cut with Jessica at De Riah!  Where are at my visits we talk about the "real" mom stories that no one ever told us about! I absolutely love that place and love my hair cut even more. 

Then it was off to my friend Mara's baby shower.  There is so much to be said about a woman when they are pregnant.  They exude this radiant glow of love, peace and happiness. 

It is such a beautiful thing and she looked amazing!It was nice to visit with my girlfriends.

Then we were off to our friends The Wagners.  We had a great BBQ dinner with more drinks and good fun! We had the first bonfire of the season.  The weather had the perfect chill to snuggle next to the fire talk and laugh the night away while the kids played ghost in the graveyard.

It's moments like these were I realize how fortunate I am to have all these wonderful people in my life.  Each one of my friends bring out the best in me.  My friends are the sunshine in my life!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
When I woke at 8:30! (Can't believe I slept that late, it was so wonderful!)  My kids had a breakfast of my favorite cereal, special K with strawberries and turkey bacon. These are the spoils of my day...

Oh do you notice the Puerto Rico flag in my card...That's right I am going to PR baby! Time to visit the family again! My Husband is the best! He knows how much I have been wanting to visit my family especially my grandma! I am so happy my soul is singing! I can't wait!

I am the luckiest mom in the world!  My kids and husband are my foundation! I love them so much! I am a lucky woman!



A blog? Why not...

Today I decided to start a blog. One might not think that this would be a big decision but it most certainly is.  "Will I have enough to talk about?" "Will people find it interesting or boring?" "Will I get any followers?" Those are just a few of the many questions that were floating around.  I am not even sure if I can find the time to keep it up.  We will see what this brings but I am sure it will be fun.

So, I hope you can enjoy the stories I will have about Life the Other Stuff and me!
