Will I survive...

I recently made a very big decision. It is a life changing thing, had to think about it for several days before I made my mind up, wasn’t sure how my family would handle it and ohhh so stressfully painful. I deactivated my Facebook account!! What else would I be talking about?

I did it! The evening of April 18th at approximately 9:30 pm I hit that little button that says deactivate. It asked me if I was sure. Trying to will me back with pictures of my friends saying they would all miss me. That their lives would never be the same without me (ok not that part, but it did say they’d miss me). I may have shed a tear or got an extremely gassy stomach from the stress of it all and hit YES,  I  AM  SURE!

Then I took it a step further and deleted the app from my Iphone! OHHH EMM GEE!!!! What the hell am I going to do now? Well…..I am going to organize my freakin craft room and get my ass in gear! I have this dream, ahhhh, a very nice little sweat dream that one day I will have my own little store selling some crafty goodness, with coffee and a kid corner yadda yadda yadda! So, I am now going to put more effort into that.

Honestly, I really didn’t need to deactivate FB to do this but I just wanted to focus on me and step away from the Facebook world. Not to mention the fact that Facebook really takes away from truly connecting with people.  I want to really be in touch with my friends and the people that matter to me. I don’t need Facebook to share stuff with the people that matter.

Anyways, I am not totally gone just taking a vaca. HAHA, you all probably said, “Shit! She isn’t gone!” when you checked your inbox! I'll keep you posted on my withdrawal symptoms!

Well, that is it on the FB thing for now.

Meanwhile back at the ranch…

My oldest made HONOR ROLL!!!! She is so cute when you ask her what her GPA is she says, “I got a 3.545!” All those numbers are very important. Now I get to put one of these bad boys on my car!!

Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!!

UPDATE>>>>>>>
Okay, so there are several things I realized while gone for not very long from facebook.

1.  Everything and I mean EVERYTHING is revolved around freakin facebook!!!!! I can't tell you how many times a game or program would log me in and I would have to hurry and deactivate again.

2. I really missed seeing posts from my friends and honeslty making people laugh!!! I mean I am not all that funny but I like to think I can make people chuckle.

3. I also learned that if people really want to talk to you they will call or text or email.  It was nice and surprising, I enjoyed that feeling!!

4. I guess the REAL reason I took a little break is there are certain people you feel you have to be friends with and so you do it fearing that unfriending will cause a scene. I decided to hell with that.  You know who I am talking about! Those people who you were once close to and grew apart, maybe your family is friends with them, you used to work with but didn't really connect, the people who are so negative you cringe when you read their post or put all those issues out there for the world to see and maybe even your own sibling (hey just saying!).  Yup, I decided to hell with that and made MY Facebook page what I want it to be! Got rid of the negativity and keeping it REAL! Fun, positive, light, inspirational, easy going, care free, silly, funny maybe a little R rated at times. Yup! Pretty much sums me up! :)

So, I am back after being found out trying to sneak on to print out come coupons from facebook. I am not to proud to admit my defeat! haha! Damn Facebook!!!

No Carbs?!?!?! WHAT!!!

So a couple weeks ago I began my Low Carb journey again to help kick start me back into weight loss and kind of shock my system.

Since I started my new job it took a toll on my body. I was soooooo freakin tired all the time. Like falling asleep on the toilet tired! I just couldn’t adjust to take my booty to the gym. For the past month I have been pretty consistent in the gym but my body does not agree with carbs. It didn’t matter if it is light, whole wheat or homemade. I was inhaling the carbs!! I had become a carb junkie!

This was how my week started:

MONDAY night I had this dream it was SO VIVID. I had a dream that I was on Day 1 of Low Carb. I came home and was craving chocolate and carbs so badly. I came across some type of bread or chip cracker type thing and inhaled it, then went back for seconds. I started feeling bad for myself and while somewhere else in the house these little chocolates appeared! WHAT? I KNOW! I ate one, then another and another. I ate like 5 of them. Then in my dream I remember saying to myself. “Well tomorrow will be a new day! Oh Well.”

Now, I wake up from this crazy dream and I am fully convinced that this actually happened. I go to the gym and try to burn those extra calories. I get home shower and start getting my breakfast ready, this whole time feeling like shit that I bombed on the first day. Then I realize it was only a dream and damn I wanted to cry. Ohhh Emmmm Geeee!!!!

TUESDAY: I can smell and hear my husband eating his super Yummy Chili Fritos. Here is what went through my head… “Can I just suck on one??? I just want the flavor. If I suck on it will I be able to spit out the Frito part? How bad could that really be? COME ON YVETTE! REALLY is that worth it? I don’t know is it? BLAGH!!! This is Ridiculous! I’m going to bed!” I kinda felt like Homer Simpson being denied a donut!

WEDNESDAY: I started to crave those stupid wafer cookies. You know the kind that come in the pack of Chocolate/vanilla/Strawberry!!! I have no idea why I don’t eat them on a regular basis or anything. Then I got to watch my coworker eat her lovely cheesecake for her bday, I am drinking down my water eating dry roasted freaken almonds.

THURSDAY: Feeling pretty good! Looking forward to my first something semi sweet tonight. Jell-O and Sugar Free Cool Whip!

FRIDAY: I’m just glad I made it through the freaking week!

Anyways, the moral of this story is don’t become a fat ass!

Peace out!

Out of the Mouth of my Babe

My husband, the love of my life, the man who makes me laugh when I am so beyond mad or frustrated the one who gets me like no other!

The other day my husband randomly says, “Oh, I guess they are putting out a new weather system!”

Me: “Who is?
Babe: “Fox 6”
Me “In hopes to predict the weather better?”
Babe: “Yeah, I guess”
Me: “How do you know this information?”
Babe: “Rob Haswell!!”     Big smirk on his face!
Me: “Oh, ok.”     Kinda rolling my eyes at him cause he’s ridiculous
Babe: “What!! He’s my buddy! We are friends on facebook you know!!!!!”

At this point I am laughing hysterically and he is looking at me eyes wide open with a slight smirk. Like “WHAT?”

Me: “Just because you are friends with him on FB does not mean you are buddies!”

Babe: “Why not?!?! He wouldn’t have friended me if he didn’t want me as his buddy!”

Me: “Yeah, OK!”

Lord help me!

That concludes “Out of the mouth of my Babe”

Eyebrows...REALLY!?!?!

What is the deal with eyebrows?

I mean really, I have gotten them waxed once in my life. ONCE!!! I torture myself on a regular basis plucking away.  Getting rid of the stragglers the rebels that veer off path, each time with a wince of pain. UGH!  Then you take a look in the mirror and you think, “Okay, not bad! It looks like I got them ALL.” WRONG!!!
You know when you find out you are wrong too?  When you are out and about and decide to take a look in the mirror under the visor in your car. WHAT THE EFF! How did those get there? I just plucked! Then you don’t have your tweezers with you and it’s a double WHAT THE EFF! You go on with your day and forget about it. Until the next time you look at that blasted visor mirror in your car, in that damn sunlight!

So, I propose to no longer look in that damn mirror!  Either that or I am going to have to keep a pair of tweezers in my car. Lord knows that will be a mistake because I will end up sitting in my car plucking my eyebrows all the time. Knowing my luck I'd be spotted by a Ryan Gosling look alike and it'd be the end of my world. Oh well! At least my husband doesn't notice and for that my friends I am thankful for!
Oh and that my eyebrows don't look like this...
