Christmas Elf on the Shelf...NOT!

What is the deal with the Elf on the Shelf? That thing scares the shit out of me. For a while I thought I needed to get one too for my kids. I thought about it but never bought it. I ended up getting something from another store that was a vintage elf but not the elf on the shelf and I don’t even do anything with it.  I couldn’t bring myself too. The thought of having an elf supposedly move around the house while I am sleeping scared the shit out of me.  I kept thinking if it scared me then it has to terrify my kids! It has those creepy little eyes and devilish grin.  “Yes, go to sleep and I won’t kill you, maybe!”  COME ON!

Honestly it kind of looks like a clown don’t you think and I am scared of clowns. UGH! If I was a kid and knew that when I slept that damn thing was walking around the house that would creeps me out. I would be terrified it would end up in my room, stealing my breath or starring at me while I slept. CREEPY!!!  ENTER...the clown from the movie IT and the Poltergeist scene!

I need not say anymore! I believe my point is made. IT'S SCARY!!!!

What am I thankful for...

It’s only fitting that I write a post about what I am thankful for. It is a great time of year to reflect on what is important in life and be thankful. Over the past few weeks I have seen many posts on facebook and blogs.  I heard a radio show on the way to work Wednesday and each person was saying what they were thankful for and it was so moving it actually brought me to tears.
So, what am I thankful for….

I am thankful for my crazy kids and loving husband. My family is so much fun and I love that we can be silly and laugh at each other.  I am thankful that my daughter’s have big hearts and care for others.  I am thankful that my husband will do anything for his family.  I am thankful for a wonderful almost 15 years and many more to come.  Even more thankful that after a busy week or a few days of short connections I get excited when I know he will be home.
My parents and that even at this stage in my life they continue to be proud of my accomplishments and tell me so.  Thankful that my father taught me and continues to teach me how to appreciate the little things in life and how to reflect on life.  Even more thankful for the trials and tribulations my mother and I had and where we are in our close relationship today.  I can tell her anything and she will never judge me.  There are no amount of words that can describe how much I appreciate everything my parents have done for me in my life and how much I love them. They have taught me to always see the bright side of things and to never give up.  I am so very grateful that they were chosen to be my parents!

I am so very thankful for my sister and brother who I love with my whole heart.  Thankful for all our crazy childhood stories that we still can laugh at today. I love my little sister so much and appreciate her spunkiness and sweet, sweet heart! She is the nicest person you could ever meet and would certainly give her last penny to you if you needed it.  I love my brother just as much and appreciate his playful spirit as well as his very serious “big brother” take care of everything ways.  I really hope they both know that I would give my last breath to them.
I am thankful for the journey in my working career and that it has brought me to where I work today. I love my job, the people I work with and the company. I found my new work home LOVE IT!

Finally, I am thankful for my friends and family (extended). I have such an eclectic group of friends and I appreciate them all. So glad they are in my life for without them I wouldn’t have such fun and crazy adventures! For my family who have also had a great impact on who I am today.

I am thankful for so many things and my heart is full.  I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and take time to be thankful!!!!

Back on the train

Well I have been away for a bit. I kind of…brace yourself… lost the want to blog for a bit. WHAT?!?!!  I know right! It is crazy! Truth be told…It just got a bit too real for a second people who I actually saw on a regular basis reading my life and then seeing me the next day. I had put some really personal things on here and it is easy for me to do when I don’t personally know the people who are reading it.  One thing I have learned is it didn’t change anything!  I wasn’t treated any differently and those things haven’t been brought up and I appreciate that.  I have gotten past that now and am ready to get back on it. So here we go…
I started working and was recently hired off my temporary status. I absolutely love my job and the company I work for. I am a natural talker and this job allows me to get to know my customers and chit chat with them on a regular basis.

At home my husband is finally getting off of his third shift schedule which has been difficult and I don’t care for it.  I will have to get used to it though as it will be a regular rotation type of deal.  I have learned to sneak out early Saturday mornings to run errands alone before the girls even realize I am gone. HAHAHA! You might ask “aren’t your girls older?” YES, YES they are and that is exactly the issue! They bicker and fight ALL the time. Then, there are these small glimpses of harmony and all is right in the world.  I breathe a sigh of relieve then SNAP just like a bolt of lightning someone laughed a little too long and the other gets irritated. Not to mention the fact I have a hormonal one on my hand with extreme highs and extreme lows during “that time”. OH MY WORD! There is no way to fully explain how insane it can get! One moment we are just going along and the second she is spitting fire and her eyes are red and I swear it is a totally different person. Lord help me when it is the second ones turn. That’s it I am going to start stocking up on wine!

So, that is what I have been up too. Nothing too exciting just rocking the full time job WITH BENEFITS and my kids! Life is good! There is so much more to write about but one post at a time right! haha!
I have also been busy making gifts for Christmas this year and unfortunately because some people who read this may be receiving said gifts I will have to wait until after to show you what I did. Sorry!  I absolutely love this time of year and can’t wait to see what you have been up to and catch up again!

Tootles!

How blogging has change me

Social media has allowed me to express myself more than I ever thought imaginable. I am not a very open person and I do not like to let people in. I do not like to open up to them and allow them to know what is going on and how I am feeling or why I am a certain way. Having this blog has allowed me to share my stories and let people in without having to talk about it. I am a very emotional person and it is always very hard for me to talk about things without having all this emotion follow.  The downside of being a Scorpio I guess.

Now, having said that just because I write about it does not mean I want to talk about it. I am not equipped to do that just yet.  One demon at a time right! I am thankful for my blog.  Having this outlet to put things out there and possibly making an impact one person makes it all worth it.
You can be very brave behind a computer screen, and in this case I am thankful

Describe a moment...

Describe a distinct moment when my life took a turn...

Well for this I will just direct you to the post on Monday, September 2nd. I don't need to repost about it. I didn't know this would be a Blogtember post. I will add one thing however and say everyone and I mean EVERYONE should experience something like that once in their life. It would make people more peaceful and understanding I believe.  It also opens your eyes to what is important in life and have more of an appreciation of things.

Personality Test

Well, today’s blog challenge was to take this personality test and respond to my results.

First, let me start by explaining that whenever I take these types of things I seem to second guess myself sometimes. It is a torturous process.
So, I took this test and when I saw the results I have to say I was so surprised at the accuracy of the results. It’s like looking in the mirror and seeing the truth, and you want to say noooo that isn’t it but it is there right in front of you so it is. You kinda have to face who you are and come to certain realizations. I mean if you can deny certain things until you are blue in the face but eventually you have to look at the one common thing and that is you. So, as I continue to change and evolve as a person, which I understand now in my mid 30’s is a lifelong process.

Without further ado here is some of my result. If you want to read it all click here.
ENFJs are the benevolent 'pedagogues' of humanity. They have tremendous charisma by which many are drawn into their nurturant tutelage and/or grand schemes. Many ENFJs have tremendous power to manipulate others with their phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique salesmanship. But it's usually not meant as manipulation -- ENFJs generally believe in their dreams, and see themselves as helpers and enablers, which they usually are.

ENFJs are global learners. They see the big picture. The ENFJs focus is expansive. Some can juggle an amazing number of responsibilities or projects simultaneously. Many ENFJs have tremendous entrepreneurial ability.

ENFJs are, by definition, Js, with whom we associate organization and decisiveness. But they don't resemble the SJs or even the NTJs in organization of the environment nor occasional recalcitrance. ENFJs are organized in the arena of interpersonal affairs. Their offices may or may not be cluttered, but their conclusions (reached through feelings) about people and motives are drawn much more quickly and are more resilient than those of their NFP counterparts.

ENFJs know and appreciate people. Like most NFs, (and Feelers in general), they are apt to neglect themselves and their own needs for the needs of others. They have thinner psychological boundaries than most, and are at risk for being hurt or even abused by less sensitive people. ENFJs often take on more of the burdens of others than they can bear.

Okay, in the first part I am indeed very outgoing and have always fancied myself to be great at interpersonal skills. Not to mention I am constantly dreaming!!!! Dreaming of the next big thing or starting something new and I ALWAYS believe I can do it. Time is what usually gets me on this. I always have the best intentions though. HONEST!
The other thing I found out is I am a giver, I knew that, I always have been and always will be.  The shitty thing about being a giver is you give and give and when you don’t get it back in return you instantly get hurt. It doesn’t help I am a super emotional person.

Overall, I truly feel that this personality test really had it right. It is so odd though to see what you are laid out in front of you.  HAPPY MONDAY!!!

A time that I was afraid...

A time that I was very afraid.

I honestly can’t think of a one time. I am afraid more often than I care to admit. I am afraid when my girls are not with me at home. I am afraid when we go somewhere and they are off by themselves.  Afraid of them growing up and leaving. Afraid that a boy will break their heart.  I am afraid when I am home alone. Don’t even get me started with being afraid something will happen to my husband and I will have to figure things out. I am afraid of my parents getting older. I think about what things will be like for my grandkids that I don’t even have yet. I’m afraid of a lot of things. I am sure technically it could be anxiety but bottom line I think too much about everything.

Useful Advice

This is pretty simple and there is not much to it. Here it goes…

FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT!

I cannot tell you how much I use this EVERYDAY!  If I wake up a little grumpy, fake it, plant a big smile on my face and sooner or later all good! At work and not really 100% sure I know what is going on, FAKE IT… contribute to the parts I know and sooner or later I’m making it! It is so VERSATILE! I swear by it. Never let a bad mood ruin a day, fake it till you make it. Never let your lack of understanding take away from your work, learn it but until then fake it till you make it.

Pretty profound huh! Happy Thursday!

3 Months Off

If I could take 3 months off I would actually work really hard at opening up a store. I have wanted to open a store/coffee shop where I could sell wonderful crafty things and meet all kinds of people. Chat and become known in the community.

Then I would have my father come in and play his guitar for the patrons.
He's so cute!!

Then after I have things up and running I would sit back and marvel at it. That would be the most satisfying thing in the world for me, more so than traveling.  That could always come later!

Who Am I?

Day 1 of BLOGTEMBER

Describe where or what you come from. The people, the places, and/or the factors that make up who you are.

I come from a family that values hard work, honesty and being true to you. I had many great role models growing up from my parents, grandparents and cousins who really help mold me into the person I am today and I am forever grateful!  I learned that working hard pays off, never give up, hold true to your beliefs and treat everyone as you would want to be treated and much more. Watching my grandfather work every single day even the day after he was attacked and stabbed taught me determination and dedication. Seeing my father meditate and reflect taught me to reflect as well and look for the bigger picture in events that take place. Watching my mother and grandmother take care of their families and husbands taught me to stand by my man through thick and thin. Having my cousins around for most of my childhood and teen years, they taught me acceptance and compassion. They were always so accepting of everyone and me and my goofy self, I am so thankful for that.

So that is me. It took many years of fine tuning and understanding but I am very happy with the person I am at this moment in my life.

Well Hello Stranger!

My, My, My does time fly when you are having fun!

I have been away too long and I am very sorry! Summer just kind of took hold and didn’t let go. We just got back from a Labor Day camping trip.  The weather was perfect and the so was our timing.  This year has been a struggle for our family in so many ways. We were tested and faced trials and are rising above. If anything else the one lesson I learned this year is that happiness truly, truly does not have anything to do with money. All these years my husband and I worked our asses off to try and make it big in both his business and my career in early childhood. I started in child care because of my children but wanted to make it as a Director one day and have a center I would be responsible for. Making the more money and having the “title”. Boy I could not have been more wrong. Although I did love it and I cherish every child that touched my heart. It brought me more stress and time away from my family than I cared for.  So I made a change in my career and with that change took a chance.  I have always said, “I never want to look back and say I wonder.” I took a pay cut and in the beginning less hours.

My husband worked and worked on creating a business that we always wanted to be the next “big” thing for us. Run by family, having the kids learn it, have the business grow etc. We tried and we did grow and then things changed.  At the same time I switched jobs we lost major income from the business, basically shutting down one of the areas of the business.  Then this past summer as most of you know I was laid off.

Enter the MOST humbling experience ever in my life. We were hurting financially and because of that struggle I actually qualified to go to the food pantry in our county. We had to use it for a couple months.  The first time I went, it practically brought me to tears.  Literally, I walked in got my number with my registration paperwork in hand and sat down. I looked around me at the people who had it so much harder than we did and I had to excuse myself outside. I sent a text to my husband that said, “I feel so depressed sitting here!” I got myself together and went back in. From the time that I registered to the time I had all my food. I was not judged at all. I was treated with tender, caring hearts! I swear each of those people are angels! Angels that said “It is okay! We are here to help you at this time in your life.” To this day I am touched and I plan on helping out that pantry as soon as we are ready to.
I really debated on sharing this story and will not tell my husband I posted this.  I am not sure how he would feel about that. It is hard for the man who says “This is my responsibility. I have to fix this”, it is a blow to their ego/machismo.  At the same time, everyone has a story.  I just wanted to share to show that no matter what battles we face, remaining positive truly helps in overcoming the hurdle.  I know that sometimes circumstances like this can break a family. For us it has made our family stronger! This summer we survived and grew as a family! We learned how to do without certain things and pass on others. We spent a lot of time together. My spirit and soul are so full, honestly I am the happiest I have been ever! I just remember thinking “Yup, this is pretty shitty but, we are healthy, we have each other, it could be worse!”

Now, I present to you pictures from our weekend! I think they sum up our story well!

I love my family!!!!!

Guess what? Blogtember starts TOMORROW. I'm BACK!!

The Versatille Blogger Award

Guess what Life and Other Stuff was selected by another blog called Time with  A & N for the versatile blogger award this past week. This award unlike the Liebster award can be given to any type of blogger, not just mom bloggers.  I have grown to really love Angela's blog as it reminds me very much of my life when my girls were little. Many times I read her blog and her stories it brings back memories of my experiences with my girls.

To accept the award I now get to nominate ten of my current favorite blogs.  Yikes, only 10 this may be difficult, there are so many funny bloggers out there!

The last thing I have to do is share seven interesting facts about myself with the person that nominated me.

1. My shower playlist consists of Ice Ice Baby, Blurred Lines, Rappers Delight and Bust a move on a constant loop.

2. In the first grade I snuck a peak at the boys changing for gym in their undies. It was Catholic school and the nun just had the girls put their head down on their desk while the boys changed. LOL!!! too funny!!

3. I look forward to Shark Week every summer.

4. I also look forward to the kids going back to school about August 1st!

5. I LOVE to sing in the car on my way to work and home after work. It is like I am pumping myself up!!!

6. I am an emotional mess. EVERYTHING makes my eyes tear up. I cry when I am happy, sad, nervous, tired, awake, laughing, telling a memory etc., etc., etc.!!! Don't judge!

7. We say the word VAGINA as much as possible in my house to make my husband uncomfortable. LMAO! He hates hearing the girls talk about their BUSINESS in front of him. bwahahahahaha!!!

For Shame Ladies....

Okay, I have smelled first hand stinky bathrooms.  Typically, they are the ones on the festival grounds that have been over used and it’s hot and humid in there and the smells tend to linger. YUK!!!  It is not something NOR should it be something that you smell on a regular basis.  Well, today cut the cake for me.  I have learned over the past few weeks that women are GROSS!  I swear the smell in the woman’s bathroom at work was so horrid today I actually dry heaved!!! I am THIS close to using the men’s restroom.

I really have thought about this on my ride home from work. I just don’t understand how A.) Women can have some smelly ass poops and B.)Why it smells like crotch?  I don’t know about you ladies but I like a clean vagina! I mean my god bend down and get a whiff now and then make sure it’s all kosher down there!

This may be too much for some of you to handle but sometimes something just has to be said!  So for today’s blog I am going to give instructions on how to properly clean your vagina. I am dead serious! Not only will I post instructions, I will post how to maintain a fresh smelling vagina.

How to properly clean your vagina:
  1. Lather up a washcloth with some mild antibacterial soap and water. Avoid using soaps with heavy perfumes, which may irritate the sensitive skin around your vagina.
  2. Clean the folds around your clitoris. Use your fingers to pull your vulva away from your clitoris. Gently scrub the skin on both sides of your clitoris with the washcloth.
  3. Wash your vulva and your vaginal opening. Also, scrub around your bikini line.
  4. Scrub your perineum. The perineum is the area between your vagina and your anus. Germs can accumulate here, especially if you wipe from back to front after you have a bowel movement.
  5. Wash your anal area last. Keep your washcloth from touching your vaginal area after you've washed your anus. Doing this will ensure that you don't drag rectal germs toward your vaginal area. These germs can cause you to get urinary tract infections.
  6. Wash your vagina at least once per day!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have sex, you may want to wash it a second time if you're worried about how your body's scent interacts with the scent of semen.

How to keep your vagina smelling FRESH:
  1. Trim, wax or shave your pubic hair. Thick pubic hair can cause you to sweat down below, which may make you have some issues with odor.
  2. Stay clean during your period. Change your pad or your tampon frequently, according to the directions on the package. If you're worried about how you smell when you're having your period, you can wash your vagina 2 or 3 times a day.
  3. Wear cotton underwear. Breathable fabric helps to prevent vaginal odor.
That concludes today's public service announcement. If you have a topic you would like me to cover please let me know: ystamper@att.net.
Keep clean and prosper!!!

I, I, I, I workout...well I used to!!

I have had lots of change in my life this past year. Left a stable job to work closer to home, fell into a 3rd shift schedule, got laid off and now in a temp to hire position working days again. How is one supposed to maintain a regular workout routine with all that change in ONE YEAR!

I fell off the workout band wagon and I fell off hard! Like face first without bending the knees hard. I tried to get back into it and just wasn’t feeling it emotionally. The more I think about how fit I WAS, when I was doing my best and mud runs and two workouts a day and now BLAHHH!!! A big fat blob of fat! It just DEPRESSING and you feel like you let yourself and family down!!!

Don’t you hate how you do that to yourself too. You start to feel bad then don’t go to the gym because you are embarrassed that you are still a fat ass and so then you beat yourself up about it ALL DAY LONG!!!  I thought I was better than that and I just fell into that nasty trap. There is no other excuse but feeling sorry for my own self.

Well, I have to get back into the game.  I miss it! I miss feeling good and not having my stomach poke out of my shirt and being a couple sizes smaller. I miss it and I miss it bad!  So, I decided to put it out there. Now just hold on, I am not going to do anything CRAZY like post my weight or a pic of myself in a swimsuit. SHIT! NO WAY! I am going to just blog about my progress, my ups and downs and hope it helps me with a little bit of accountability.

Now, once I start feeling better I will put more out there but let’s start with baby steps, ok. I am NOT ready for all that Jillian Michael’s come to Jesus shit! No thank you!

To kick things off I am going to post two challenges that are my big PROBLEM AREAS and incorporate them into my daily workout routine.   Please feel free to do them with me and share your success and failures too. If there is anything I learned is having a good support group around you makes a BIG difference. Maybe later if there is interest I can start challenges on fat secret and make it fun!

Here are the challenges, just click:

Here’s to being and feeling healthy again!!!

Cheers!

A fond memory...

Dedicated to Angela at Time with A & N

I adored your post today about how you love your kids but sometimes…. It reminded me of a very specific incident when my kids were younger.  At that time they were 4 and 2, they are now 12 and almost 10.

Here we go…

I had to be up and at work at the crack of dawn one day. There was a board meeting downtown at 7:30 am and I lived 30 minutes from work, the daycare was located in the same building. The meeting was an additional 30 minute drive.  I had to be up and ready and get the kids up and ready to leave the house by 6 am. YIKES!!! We were able to do it and the kids survived being woke up early. After my day I go to get the kids around 5, this was a freakin chore because they had to get suited up for the winter weather and I could not do it fast enough.

We finally get to our town and I decided that it would be a GREAT idea to go to the grocery store to pick up a few items. It is like almost 6pm and even though everything in my body was telling me NO, I still did it.  We get in the store and I get that damn car cart that I HATE! It’s annoying and hard to steer and just a giant pain in the ass.  It was great for like the first 30 sec.  I kid you not, that immediately after entering the store my oldest decided that she rather walk. I let her and about 10 feet into the walk I accidentally bumped her with the cart in the produce section.
You would have though I pulled her limbs off! She was in hysterics and spread out arms and legs on the floor. I WAS SO EMBARRASSED!!! I ask her to please get up after apologizing and she refuses. She continues to pout on the floor and as I pass her I say, very calmly that the manager will take her to the back room if she doesn’t get up. I continue to walk as if nothing is happening and who shows up around the corner as if on cue… the manager.

She gets up and walks behind me head down kicking the ground as she walks.  On set…the whining…. MOMMMMMmmmmm I’m tired, I have to pee, I am hungry.  I can take care of hungry I say, I pull a box of teddy grahams off the shelve open them up and give to the kids.  1 minute later fighting begins, just as I am going to separate the box of teddy grahams falls to the ground and I swear every single damn graham fell out. REALLY!!!

CLEAN UP ON AISLE 3! I hear as I am getting my last items.  Why did I think it was a good idea to go to the store after such an early morning, I will never know.

I see the checkout and just as I thought I was in the clear I was proofed otherwise.  The girls begin to fight again and I take the 2nd box of teddy grahams away so I can pay for them they both begin to cry.  My youngest is just tired beyond belief and my older one fit to be tied is hanging out of the side of the cart trying to get out while kicking her sister.  It was AWEFUL!!!  I was sweaty, and I’m sure redder than a crayon. I get up to the checkout to give the lady my “saver card” and say to her, “Well, if this isn’t birth control, I don’t know what is?” SLIENT TREATMENT!  Seriously, that was HILARIOUS! I got nothing but a stare down. I am sure ALL the employees were talking about me. I WAS THAT parent that night. She gave me my receipt and said “I don’t think that is very funny.” I took my receipt and groceries and looked back at her and said, “Well, I think its Hilarious and you would too if you had kids.”

Seriously!

So here’s to you Angela!  One day you will look back on your moment and laugh! Thank god for Vodka, right!

B.R.F!!! Really!

B.R.F

You ALL have experienced the B.R.F.  You may even be guilty of having one from time to time.  What is it you ask?  B.R.F is Bitchy Resting Face <GASP>! Dun, Dun, Dunnnnnnn….

Listen, I have been at my new job for 2 whole weeks and am on my 3rd!  I love it but one thing I have noticed is some women really love to have that BRF on and popping!  It is KRAY KRAY as my daughters would say.  I just don’t get it.

They constantly have this look on their face that’s like “Go ahead, say something to me. Anything. I dare you!”  They make themselves seem so unapproachable.  Why do you want to constantly look that way? Don’t you know your face will wrinkle that way?

Me, I have no problem smiling at people and I KNOW that sometimes people might think I am crazy or high on something but really, I just can’t sit and look like this…

It's actually pretty funny to me but I’d rather have smiley wrinkles on my face.

Just saying!

Snart????

You have heard of the term Shart but have you ever heard of Snart?  It is an epidemic that is sweeping the nation.  Everyone does it, and everyone pretends it never happened.  What is snart you ask?? I am about to tell you.  Brace yourself!

A Snart is a “Sneeze Fart”.  It is that awkward moment when you sneeze but a fart comes out and it is loud due to all that pressure and force of the sneeze.  This happened to me about a month ago and my kids to this day still speak of it. The reason I bring this up today was because as I was sitting here drinking my coffee in peace, the kids still sleeping due to a late nite of slumber partying, hubby just left for work and I feel this massive sneeze coming on. I sneeze and well it turned into a snart! WHATEVER!!! YOU ALL KNOW IT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU!  I’m just glad I was sitting by myself!  My husband is probably reading this in shame as he hate bodily function sounds! I can just picture him shaking his head. SERIOUSLY HILARIOUS! He cracks me up!

So remember this next time you sneeze and you are a little gassy it could happen to you!

I also did a quick google search and found this little gem! HAHAHA!

A Fireflies Paradise...

The last few nights my kids have decided to go on the hunt for fireflies.  Honestly, it was Cristina more than Emily as she is “grown up” now.   Anyways, we gathered the necessary jars and lids and set out for the backyard.  Now, I was not expecting much from this night but what I certainly DID NOT expect was to have a flurry of childhood memories rush through me.  I know I can be an exaggerator HOWEVER, when the kids started the hunt we noticed that our yard was taken over by fireflies. I mean there were hundreds and they were beautiful!  I have never seen so many in my own backyard!  For a split second I really felt like I was in a fairy land of some sort!  If I wasn’t so damn afraid of bugs these days, (which by the way has gotten out of control), I would have plopped down in the middle of the yard!

I tried to post a video but it wasn't that good.  I will try again and see if it gets any better. It's just too dark.

It just brought back so many memories of being a kid and being so care free. Oh, everything was so much simpler then!  I wish I could grant my kids the same kind of experiences and not fear for their lives. It makes me sad.  Anyways, I digress, we would be out in the neighborhood until like 9/10 at night and our moms would go out on the porch and call for us and we’d come out of the woodworks.

All I can do is my best to allow my kids to experience the same, within logical reason of course.

NEW JOB!!!!

This week has been an exciting week because I STARTED MY NEW JOB!!!!! I am so glad to not have to deal with unemployment anymore! That system is TOTALLY EFFED UP AND WACK!!!!! I can’t stand it!! You can never reach a single person. When you call you are told Monday and Tuesdays are “high volume” days and get disconnected.  Then Wednesday comes and you call and still can’t get through. I didn’t even bother Thursday; I didn’t want to break my phone! So Friday comes and you can’t get through everyone is on break and doesn’t want to work its Friday.  You call get told your number 33 and then put your number in for the call back.  When you get the call back you are still on hold being told the reps are busy and to continue to hold. I held for 40 minutes and hung up! NONSENSE!!! YOU HEAR THAT WISCONSIN!!!!

Anyways! If you didn’t know already I GOT A JOB!!!!! Hahahahha! My kids were so sick of me by the end of last week I kept on doing that to them. “Oh, guess what or Oh, grandma called she said or the neighbor just told me…” etc. etc. It was HILARIOUS to me anyway.

So I am now working as a Sales Service Rep for a great company.  However, I got the job through a staffing agency so I am a temp to hire for 90 days but I LOVE IT!!! It is a great place and a great atmosphere a work hard play hard type of place. I am so excited!

So I just finished the first week of training.  There are 14 total people including me who sit in a room together most of the day meeting, learning and listening to our vendors. It’s funny how personalities start to come out by day 4.  We have an array of personalities that have developed.  It is quite amusing! So far, I have these characters pegged…

There is a Kevin James in the mix...

A Danny Gokey look a like...

This Kristen Wiig Character... FOR REAL!!!

And a couple of these... LMAO!

All in all it was a great week and I am happy!  That’s been my week.  Hope you all had a good one too!!
